HOW DOES YOUR MUSIC CAREER USE YOUR SKILLS AND TALENTS?
My skills are being able to sing in many different languages since I speak fluently French, Italian, English and Portuguese, I am able to play the piano while I sing and study my opera arias and lieder. I have learned how to record professionally a classical repertoire and the operatic voice. I have two big projects for the moment: releasing an album this year and performing in Brazil with the Orquestra Sînfonica do Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro in December.
WHAT OBSTACLES HAVE YOU OVERCOME TO GET WHERE YOU ARE TODAY, BOTH PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY?
Believe it or not, my biggest obstacle has been the fact that I have a really atypical background, I grew up in Brazil but moved to France when I was 11 and started music lessons in Paris but at the time, nobody really believed in my potential, some teachers were also a little bit aggressive saying that I had no future with the music because of the fact that my family wasn’t into music (I am the only musician in my family), some also said that I was already too old to learn an instrument and also doubted because I wasn’t fully European, which is insane… With that, I learn to believe always in my potential and that other people’s opinions are just opinions. I learned to never give up on my dreams.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I like to spend time with my family and friends. I love to go to see a movie or a rock concert, and rock festivals. I think the only profession I could do besides being a musician is being a psychologist, I love psychology and helping people.
WHAT’S YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY?
My strategy is to communicate with the audience, offer original content, and being flexible with my ideas. I am also collaborating with other musicians that I found on social media platforms.
